Indulge in the perfect combination of crispy and creamy with these Chocolate Covered Rice Krispie Treats. With the satisfying crunch of the Rice Krispie cereal, the stickiness of the marshmallow, and the richness of the chocolate ganache this classic dessert is taken to the next level.
Rice Krispie Treats are a classic dessert. Whether you like the homemade version or the packaged version you pick up at the grocery store, you have to admit that these little bars are tasty! I love how simple and easy they are to make while still being so good and always a crowd pleaser. The layer of chocolate ganache on top makes these seem a bit fancier while still being so easy to do.

Ingredients
Ingredients Notes
- I used dark chocolate but you can use whatever type of chocolate you prefer.
- I like to use mini marshmallows because they melt a bit faster, but regular marshmallows work just as well. I also use marshmallows in my Marshmallow Chocolate Chip Cookies.
- Rice Krispie cereal is the heart of this recipe. I recommend using the name brand, because I like the flavor better, but you can use whatever brand you can get your hands on.

Expert Baking Tips
- Spray the pan and your utensils well with cooking spray. This will help the rice krispie mixture not stick to everything.
- Be sure that there is nothing in the pan you make the chocolate ganache in. If there is any water or grease it can make the ganache separate.
