Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are the delicious chocolate chip cookies you know and love in a gooey bar form. They are easy to make, ready in 30 minutes, and full of chunks of chocolate that will have you coming back for more!
1 ½cups(255 grams) chocolatechopped or chocolate chips
Instructions
For Cookie Bars:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees (F). Spray a 9x13 pan with non-stick spray and set aside.
In a large bowl using a hand mixer cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing fully before adding the next. Add the vanilla and combine.
In a medium bowl combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Whisk to combine.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined.
Mix in the chocolate.
Press the cookie dough into the prepared pan.
Bake the cookie bars for 17-20 minutes. Bake for 5 minutes longer if you don't want the cookie bars to be as gooey.
Remove the chocolate chip cookie bars from the oven and allow them to cool.
Notes
Add chunks of chocolate on top before baking. This will give you those incredible puddles of chocolate on top of the cookie bars.
Don’t use cold ingredients. Ensure that all of your cold ingredients are at room temperature before making your cookie bars. The ingredients will combine much easier and you won’t have chunks of cold butter in your cookie dough, which can lead to greasy cookie bars.
