Ingredients

For Peach Cobbler:

  • 3 cans (15.25 ounces each) peaches in heavy syrup 1 drained
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick unsalted butter melted
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

For Peach Cobbler:

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees (F).
  • In a 9x13 dish add the peaches (make sure only one of the cans has been drained of its liquid), cornstarch, and cinnamon. Stir until well combined.
  • Pour the yellow cake mix evenly over the peach mixture.
  • In a small bowl combined the melted butter and vanilla. Pour the butter over the cake mix.
  • Bake the peach cobbler for 45-50 minutes or until the top is browned to your liking.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.
  • Top with ice cream or whipped cream and serve!

Notes

  • Distribute the cake mix evenly. Try to spread the cake mix evenly around the top of the peach mixture so that it bakes evenly.
  • Let the cobbler cool for 5-10 minutes. Allowing the cobbler to cool for a bit before eating lets the filling thicken up a bit and it will be easier to eat.
